KUALA LUMPUR, 6 January 2022 – MyFintech Week 2022 (MyFW 2022)  recently unveiled part of its finance and tech speakers line-up as it gears up for  an insightful week from 24 to 28 January 2022.

Themed “Advancing Digitalisation for Recovery, Sustainability, Inclusion”,  MyFW 2022 is expected to cover a wide range of pressing issues facing the  future of the financial industry. It is anchored on seven key priorities: Sustainability, Resiliency, New Realities for Finance, Economy, Financial  Health & Inclusion, Startups and Regulations.

“Experts from around the world will be sharing their perspectives at MyFW 2022.  Their insights can inform and inspire action on critical issues that the financial  sector needs to tackle. The main conference from Day 1 to Day 4 will feature a combination of keynote  addresses, tech talks, panel sessions and fireside chats on pertinent issues  affecting Malaysia’s future financial and economic landscape. This includes  climate resiliency, the future of money and emerging technologies. Malaysia’s  Financial Sector Blueprint 2022-2026 will also be launched on Day 1, followed  by a discussion to integrate perspectives from BNM and the industry in forging  a shared vision on the future of Malaysia’s financial industry.

MyFW 2022 also brings highly popular workshop-style sessions through a  series of masterclasses with industry experts to deep-dive into specific  subject matters. Cybersecurity professionals join a masterclass on “Security by  design for fintech deployment” by Abbas Kudrati (APAC Chief Cybersecurity  Advisor, Microsoft). Participants interested in emerging technologies can join in  a masterclass on “Deep dive into DeFi” by Cais Manai (Product Lead for Digital  Assets and DeFi, R3). Other masterclasses will also cover topics such as f  cloud implementation, artificial intelligence (AI), distributed ledger technology  (DLT), fintech start-ups and Regtech.

Beyond the main conference and masterclasses, MyFW 2022 also provides opportunities for businesses to access support for growth and innovation on  Day 4 and 5. Amongst others, start-ups can schedule one-on-one consulting  sessions on regulatory and compliance issues. At the same time, SMEs and  businesses can access dedicated channels of support covering issues such as  SME digitalisation, talent, and funding & investments. MyFW 2022 accelerator  programmes will also feature 15 innovations aligned with the Sustainable  Development Goals, with live demos on Day 4.
